Slot: Power Density
Documentation: Power density in kW/m2
For wind: the power densitiy is the power of the wind (kW) divided by the wind intercept area (m2)
For solar radiation: the power density is the power of the sun (kW) reaching the Earth divided by the surface area of the Earth
The power density of the sun's radiation on the surface of the earth is approximately 1.4 kW/m2. This value varies slightly throughout the year but by no more than 0.1 percent. (http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1998/ManicaPiputbundit.shtml)
